Former England international and current Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland will miss Thursday’s Old Firm derby after a ‘significant’ internal bleed.
The 31-year-old was discharged from hospital on Wednesday morning, but remained under supervision throughout the night prior to leaving.
The medical team have ruled the goalkeeper out of the match as he continues to recover.

The scare comes in Butland’s second season at Ibrox, having joined in July 2023 following his release from Crystal Palace.
He has made 29 appearances in all competitions for Rangers this season, keeping 13 clean sheets.
It is now likely that back-up goalkeeper Liam Kelly will step in for the match against Celtic and for the forseeable while Butland is ruled out.
Rangers come into the game against their rivals second in the Scottish Premiership, trailing them by 14 points.
