Arsenal are set to offer Jack Wilshere a new contract despite his latest injury setback, according to the Telegraph.
The England international had been on a season-long loan at Bouremouth though his spell has been cut short after scans had confirmed that he had broken his leg.
He had racked up twenty-seven league appearances for Eddie Howe’s side this season – the most he has managed since he missed the entire 2011/12 campaign with an ankle problem.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger believes that his overall lack of game time since he turned professional could see him not fulfil his entire potential.
Since turning professional Wilshere has averaged less than twelve league games a season for his parent club, having made his debut in a 4-0 win at Blackburn Rovers in September 2008.
He has been capped thirty-four times for his country, scoring two goals and played at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil and last summer’s European Championships in France.
