Porto star Jackson Martinez has welcomed reports linking him with European giants Barcelona and Chelsea.
The Colombian forward has largely impressed at Dragao Stadium this season, and has seen his name linked with top European clubs in the process.
Martinez is now seen as a cheaper alternative to his international teammate Radamel Falcao Garcia, and he admits he is happy to see such great clubs lining up for his signature.
“Chelsea and Barcelona? Sincerely I have not spoken with anybody but this is a good signal about my performances in the Portuguese Liga,” Martinez was quoted as saying in O Jogo.
“Rumours are normal because I am working with success in Porto and scoring goals but I am calm, if the papers say there are offers that do not worry me.
“Now I am focussed exclusively on my work for Porto, I prefer to ignore the rumours about clubs being interested.”
The 26-year-old joined Porto from Jaguares in the summer as a replacement for star forward Hulk and he has enjoyed a remarkable start to his career at Dragao Stadium.
Martinez scored 12 goals in 14 competitive appearances for the Dragons, which earned him comparisons with Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao Garcia.
The two players are expected to establish a partnership in Colombia national team that should see los Cafeteros qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
