Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Colombian striker Jackson Martinez could be joining AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
The Colombia international snubbed interest from the Rossoneri to move to China this winter, but he could end up at San Siro after all.
Namely, the Guangzhou Evergrande owners are interested in buying AC Milan and if they complete the takeover, they will allow Martinez to join the Rossoneri.
The San Siro outfit is in the market for a high-profile centre forward and they would certainly welcome the 29-year-old with open arms.
At the same time, Marcelo Lippi is expected to be appointed a new head coach if the proposed takeover goes ahead, so this is definitely a story to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
Jackson Martinez didn’t have a lot of time to make an impact at his new club, but he did well to score three goals in first five appearances.
