Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has learned that Colombian striker Jackson Martinez could be joining AC Milan this summer.
Everything suggests that the Rossoneri will be forced to sell top scorer Carlos Bacca and they believe his compatriot would be a very good replacement.
AC Milan attempted to recruit the 29-year-old footballer last summer, but he eventually ended up at Atletico Madrid.
Martinez has since moved to Guangzhou Evergrande, and with the Chinese club owners set to purchase AC Milan, the striker could be arriving at San Siro after all.
But, having paid €42 million for his services, chances are that Guangzhou will not be ready to sell the Colombian this summer, and he is rather expected to join on a season long loan.
After spending mere six months at Atletico Madrid, Jackson Martinez went on to make five league appearances for the Chinese club, scoring three goals in the process.
