After initial reports that Real Madrid was interested in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, it has surfaced that Manchester United are also interested in pursuing the 19-year-old, reports Mirror.
Sancho, who is also part of England’s national team, joined Dortmund in 2017. He was previously in the Manchester City academy, but as he was omitted from City’s pre-season tour squad in 2017 and was given no guarantees regarding his playing time with the senior team, the youngster decided to join the German club.
Sancho has had a very successful spell at Dortmund. He has scored 18 times and made 30 assists in 68 appearances for the team, which has made him a coveted target of many European clubs. It is expected that Dortmund’s asking price for the player will not go below £100 million, but United reportedly don’t intend to be scared off by such a hefty price.
Earlier in the year Sancho said he wouldn’t mind going back to the Premier League. He also said that managers have given him an opportunity to play and that he has proven himself to be a valuable player, which he hopes will happen to many other talented young players.
