Liverpool are stepping up their efforts to sign Nottingham Forest defender Jamal Lascelles, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Reds have watched the talented footballer on several occasions over the last few weeks, which is enough to suggest they are seriously pondering a summer bid for his services.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is not entirely satisfied with his defensive options and is keen to add Lascelles to his ranks at the end of the current campaign.
The only problem is that Arsenal, Everton and few more Premier League sides have been showing interest as well.
Jamal Lascelles has managed to nail down a regular starting berth at the City Ground this season, and has started 15 Championship matches this term, scoring one goal.
He is widely regarded as one of England’s most talented centre-backs, and it appears he will be moving to the Premier League at the end of the season.
