Carlo Ancelotti really values James Rodriguez. That was obvious at Real Madrid when the Italian coach was working there and that was obvious when he moved to Germany. At Bayern Munich, he once again wanted to renew their relationship and Bayern signed the Colombian attacking midfielder on a two-year loan with an option to buy.
After that did not work out in the end – at least in terms of keeping the player on a regular contract – Ancelotti now wants to see Rodriguez at Napoli. The Italian club are moving quickly with their negotiations for the Real Madrid man and according to well-informed Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are closing in on a loan deal with a view to making it permanent for €30m.
James’ agent, Jorge Mendez, is reportely in Madrid to finalise a deal with the player already keen on a move, while Napoli wait on confirmation.
