Despite digging deep in their pocket during the summer transfer market, Premier League strugglers Everton could spend an additional sum of money of new recruits this winter.
Reports have emerged with ESPN that Toffees are plotting a January move for Norwich City playmaker James Maddison, who has enjoyed a sensational season in the Championship.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined Norwich from Coventry City last season and his impressive exploits have already attracted plenty of attention from England’s top tier.
The Carrow Road club will find it extremely difficult to hold on to the talented star for much longer especially with Everton reportedly being prepared to submit an offer for the lad once the transfer window reopens.
The Toffees are currently without a manager following the sacking of Ronald Koeman but are set to appoint a new one in the coming weeks.
