Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison would be open to a move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that Tottenham want to sign Maddison from Premier League rivals Leicester, and that the England international would jump at the chance to join the North London club.
The report has claimed that Maddison has told his friends that he wants to join a club playing in the UEFA Champions League and believes that he would thrive at that level. Tottenham finished in the top four of the Premier League last season and are playing in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.
Maddison has scored three goals and provided one assist in six Premier League appearances for Leicester so far this season. The 25-year-old scored 12 goals and gave eight assists in 28 league starts for the Foxes last season.
