January 28th: Sunday’s European Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

Although there might not be any Premier League action on the cards this weekend, the rest of Europe’s elite offer a stacked Sunday schedule.

For those of you who are looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have found a pair of eye-catching betting markets from Serie A and Ligue 1.

14:00 Reims vs Nantes

While Reims might have eventually fallen short in their bid to punch a top-half finish finish last season, Sunday’s hosts have continued to shine this time around. Opening this weekend’s fixtures battling it out in the top-six chase, Will Still’s men suddenly have their sights set on booking a famous European ticket.

Although Les Rouges might have watched their Coupe de France adventure come to an end last week as they suffered penalties heartbreak at the hands of Sochaux, the Reds are enjoying a Ligue 1 flurry.

Last seen in top-flight action making a major statement as they stormed their way to a 3-1 romp away at French giants Monaco, Still’s side will also be excited by their continued success on home soil.

Including a 1-0 victory against Le Havre when signing off 2023, Reims have won three of their last four Ligue 1 showdowns at the Stade Auguste-Delaune.

While Nantes might have clung to their top-flight status last season, the Canaries find themselves at the heart of another Ligue 1 struggle.

Opening this weekend’s fixtures holding just a two-point buffer from slipping into the relegation play-off spot, Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side have lost five of their previous six domestic appearances across all competitions.

Signing off 2023 with a 1-0 defeat against fellow relegation scrappers Lyon, Sunday’s guests have also collected just a single Ligue 1 victory since way back on October 22nd.

It should also be noted, Nantes have remarkably lost all of their last six straight trips to the Stade Auguste-Delaune by an aggregate score of 13-5.

Betting Tip: Reims win & Over 1.5 goals @ 6/5 with Pribet

17:00 Lazio vs Napoli

Suffering Super Cup heartbreak last week as they eventually slumped to a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Inter Milan, Lazio will certainly be seeking an immediate response here. Currently sat just a single point adrift of breaking back into the top-four, Sunday’s hosts should find the mood in their camp at a continued high.

Shrining a real Champions League upset last month as they cruised their way to a knockout stage ticket, Maurizio Sarri’s men have won five of their previous six domestic appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, extending on their Coppa Italia adventure earlier in the month as they clinched a 1-0 victory against bitter local rivals Roma, the one-time Chelsea boss will be hugely excited by his side’s continued success on home soil.

Last seen at the Stadio Olimpico picking up a 1-0 victory against Lecce, Lazio have suffered just a single defeat in any of their previous 14 straight showdowns in front of their own supporters – a run that stems all the way back to August 27th.

On the flip side, while Napoli might have made real history last season as they claimed a first Serie A crown since 1990, the reigning Italian champions have continued on a public domestic struggle this time around.

Making a return to losing ways last week as they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Inter Milan, Sunday’s guests have recorded just a pair of victories from any of their last seven showdowns across all competitions.

Gaining a real reputation for their extended issues on the road, Walter Mazzarri’s side have lost all of their previous four contests away from the the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium by an aggregate score of 10-2.

Likewise, hit with a 2-1 defeat when they welcomed Lazio to Naples for their reverse Serie A meeting back on September 2nd, Napoli will face another stern examination here.
