Adnan Januzaj turned down a lucrative offer from Paris Saint Germain before signing a new contract with Manchester United, according to the Mirror.
The 19 year old penned a new deal worth around £50,000 per week in October, becoming the world’s “highest paid youngster”.
However, his agent Dirk De Vries has revealed that he could have instead moved to the Ligue 1 champions, who also came in with an impressive offer.
De Vries went on to confirm that the Belgium born midfielder is earning more than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were at his age.
Januzaj broke into the Manchester United first team this season, and has gone on to make thirty-four appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals including a brace in his first Premier League start – a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Sunderland back in October.
Manchester United finish the season with an away match against Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
