Japan star wants Premier League move

Hertha Berlin winger Genki Haraguchi is keen on moving to England at the end of the current campaign, according to Bild.

The 25-year-old has a contract until the end of next season with his current employers, and he has been offered a new three-year deal with an improved salary.

However, Haraguchi is so keen on playing in England that he rejected said offer and his long-term future at the club is now in doubt.

The winger’s agent Chiel Dekker is trying to find the right club for his client, but so far there has been little interest in his services.

Haraguchi recently lost his place in the starting line-up to Valentin Stocker, with head coach Pal Dardai citing lack of goals as the main reason.

The 25-year-old has only managed 1 goal and 2 assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances this season, so he will certainly have to improve in those departments if he wants to realise his dream of playing in England.
