Jara Reyes returns to Forest

Nottingham Forest have signed Chilean international Gonzalo Jara Reyes on a one year deal.

The 27 year old had a loan spell at the City Ground towards the end of last season, and impressed enough to secure a permanent deal following his release from West Bromwich Albion.

Jara Reyes move to the Hawthorns from Chilean side Colo Colo in 2009, and helped the Baggies secure promotion to the Premier League in his first season in English football.

He went on to make thirty top fight appearances for the club, before being loaned to Brighton and Hove Albion twice during the 2011/12 campaign.

Having made just one appearance for West Brom last season, he moved to Forest in January, where he made seventeen appearances before being sent back to his parent club following a knee injury.

The defender has been capped 48 times for Chile, and is on course to play in next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
