The race, or at this point jog, to become the new manager of Real Madrid continues to take many different twists and turns, with Marca reporting that former Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim is a big contender when it comes to landing the position at the Bernabeu.
Jardim has been linked to big jobs in the past and likely always will be for as long as he’s managing in the beautiful game, and that’s the biggest compliment we can afford him. Santiago Solari is currently in temporary charge of the first team in the wake of Julen Lopetegui’s departure, and it definitely feels like Jardim could be as good of an appointment as any at this stage.
Real have had a poor start to the campaign which is one of the primary reasons why they’re looking for a new boss, although if they can start to pick up some momentum in the next few months, it’s entirely possible that they walk away with a fourth consecutive Champions League title.
