Jarrad Branthwaite is ready to leave Everton for Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. The report has revealed that Man Utd are ready to meet Branthwaite’s asking price of £50million+, with the central defender himself “ready to consider the short journey from Merseyside for the profile a move to United would give him”.
However, there are certain conditions. Branthwaite wants to join a club playing in the UEFA Champions League next season, which means that Man United will have to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition. The Red Devils are not going to finish in the Premier League top four this season, but they have reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League, and if they win it, then they will get into the Champions League.
Branthwaite has been at Everton since 2020 and has done well over the years. The 22-year-old England international is widely rated as one of the best young centre-backs in the Premier League, and Man United would be a better team with him in it.
