Javier Hernandez linked with summer exit

Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen may have no option but to cash in on Javier Hernandez next summer, according to Bild.

The Mexican striker has enjoyed a remarkable start to his career at Bay Arena, netting impressive 21 times in 24 competitive outings, with top European sides now casting admiring glances his way.

And while Leverkusen somehow managed to keep hold of their prized asset in January, die Werkself are clearly preparing for life without Chicharito.

Club’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Jochen Rotthaus, has confirmed that a summer sale is a realistic possibility.

“We need to enjoy the Chicharito effect as much as possible, but at the same time prepare ourselves for life after Chicharito,” Rotthaus said at a SpoBiS congress.

The player himself seem ready to capitalize on the impressive run of form and everything suggests he will be leaving at the end of the current campaign.

Javier Hernandez, 27, will get another chance to prove his worth when his side take on Bayern Munich next weekend, with die Werkself 4/1 shot to record an unlikely win.
