Olympiakos forward Javier Saviola has emerged as the latest target for Italian outfit Hellas Verona, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Gialloblu are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements despite signing Nicolas Lopez from Udinese and they have just turned their attention to the Argentine striker.
Hellas Verona will attempt to lure the 32-year-old to Italy on transfer deadline day, but it remains to be seen if they will be successful.
Having signed Kostas Mitroglou on loan from Fulham, the Greek giants might be prepared to cash in on the veteran forward, especially given that he has just another year left on his current deal.
Javier Saviola joined Olympiakos on a free transfer from Malaga last summer and went on to score 12 goals in 26 league matches.
But, the Argentine seems to have lost his place in the starting line-up and he will probably jump at the opportunity to move to Italy.
