Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri has made it clear that he will remain at Stade Allianz Riviera until the end of the season.
The Ivorian was disappointed not to have been allowed to join Barcelona in the summer, and he did not hide his frustration.
But, it would appear as though Seri has come to terms with the situation, having effectively ruled out a January exit.
“Regardless of any club asking for me this winter, I won’t leave Nice before June,” Seri told Le Figaro.
“The summer fallout? It will take more than that to change my mind – a top-level footballer can’t afford to continue thinking about that sort of thing.
“It is now history and you need to look to the future and to making history with this club.”
Jean-Michael Seri had a key role to play in helping Nice achieve a top 3 finish in Ligue 1 last term, and he remains an important player for les Aiglons.
