Sporting Lisbon winger Jeffren Suarez is expected to leave the Lions in the January transfer window, his agent has revealed.
The 25-year-old has been on the fringes at Estadio Jose Alvalade for quite a while, having last played for the senior squad in April 2013.
He is currently training with the B squad and is widely tipped to leave the club in January, although his current employers seem reluctant to rescind his contract that runs until June 2016.
The winger’s agent has revealed that his client has offers from Spain among other countries.
“Let us see if we can have a transfer. There are interested sides in Spain and other countries,” agent Brian Pugach confessed to A Bola.
Jeffren Suarez came through the youth ranks at Barcelona and was regarded as one of club’s hottest prospects when he was promoted to the senior squad during the 2009/2010 season.
However, his career started taking the wrong turn when he opted to join Sporting, and he went on to make just 24 league appearances for the Lions during the two and a half years at the club.
