Jenkinson pens new Arsenal deal before rejoining West Ham on loan

The Mirror understands that Carl Jenkinson has signed a new five-year deal with Arsenal, before being once again loaned out to West Ham United.

The full-back spent last season on loan with the Hammers, where he made thirty-six appearances in all competitions.

Prior to his temporary switch to the Bolyen Ground, the 23 year old played fifty-seven times for the Gunners, scoring his one and only goal for the club so far in a 2-0 win at Norwich City on the final day of the 2013/14 campaign.

He has now committed himself to Arsene Wenger’s side for a further five years, but will once again link up with West Ham, now managed by Slaven Bilic, for entirety of the 2015/16 campaign.

Internationally, Jenkinson has one senior cap for England with the former Charlton Athletic man making his debut in a 4-2 friendly defeat to Sweden in November 2012.
