Jeremy Mathieu wants summer exit

El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu plans to leave Camp Nou in the summer transfer window.

The 33-year-old appears to be concerned by the lack of playing time and he reportedly confessed to the newspaper reporters that he wants out on the way back from the Copa del Rey final.

Mathieu was missed out on the matchday squad for the clash against Alaves due to injury, while he even revealed that he had two offers.

The veteran defender does have another year left on his deal, but chances are that new boss Ernesto Valverde will not stand in his way of leaving the club.

Jeremy Mathieu had joined Barcelona from Valencia three years ago and he went on to make 62 La Liga outings for the Catalans, but didn’t quite manage to justify a €20 million transfer fee.
