Stoke City new boy Cameron Jerome has set his sights on a high-scoring season, with a double-figure goal tally his target.
The 24-year-old striker recently made the move to the Britannia from Birmingham City for four million pounds and believes his new side have a number of players who should be setting themselves a similar target.
“With the people we have here supplying ammunition from the wings, I think double figures is definitely achievable for all of the strikers at the club,” Jerome told The Sentinel.
“With the strikers we have here, I think everyone would be disappointed if at least a couple of us didn’t hit double figures.”
Jerome also noted how the club have grown in quality and have changed their style of play.
He continued: “People label Stoke as long-ball merchants, but I think there is so much more to us than that.”
“Since I have been here I have been genuinely surprised by the quality of the players we have.”
Jerome has started well, netting a crucial goal in his Europa League debut for Stoke against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev, and he will be hoping to continue his scoring form at home to Fulham in the Premier League after the international break.
However, he will face competition for a starting spot from fellow new signing Peter Crouch and current strikers Kenwyne Jones, Ricardo Fuller and Jonathan Walters.
