Bayer Leverkusen are showing interest in Real Madrid starlet Jese Rodriguez, Spanish daily AS has revealed.
The German giants are preparing for life without Stefan Kiessling and Andre Schurrle, who are both tipped to leave in the summer.
Die Werkself are, therefore, looking for attacking reinforcements and they are keen to add Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez to their ranks.
After full-back Dani Carvajal proved to be a great signing having arrived from Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, Bayer officials are convinced Jese would also be a big asset at Bay Arena.
The problem is that los Blancos value the player highly and are considering adding him to the first team squad for the 2013/2014 season.
However, with the striker keen on regular playing time, a loan move to Leverkusen could be the best option for all the parties involved.
Jese Rordriguez, 20, has netted 18 times in 30 Segunda appearances fro Real Madrid Castilla this term.
