According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Benfica club president Luis Filipe Vieira has confirmed that Joao Felix will only be leaving the club if his buyout clause of £100 million is met during the summer transfer window. He has been heavily linked with a series of top European clubs over the course of the last few months, including Bayern Munich, Juventus and Liverpool. Juventus seem to be the frontrunners at this moment in time, but you never quite know what is going to happen in a bidding war of this nature. Felix could wind up being one of the most exciting young talents we’ve seen in years, and if he’s able to continue living up to his potential, then he’d be a massive commodity for any team that he plays for.
Of course, putting that much pressure on a lad of his age is also incredibly risky, and we’ve seen it backfire in the past.
