Joao Moutinho nears FC Porto return

Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho is on the verge of agreeing a deal with FC Porto, according to A Bola.

The Portugal international never hid his desire to return to Estadio do Dragao, and he has decided this is as good a time as any to make the long awaited return.

A Bola claims that his representatives have all but reached an agreement with FC Porto officials, and it is believed Monaco will not stand in the player’s way as they are desperate to get rid of their highest earner.

Despite starting his career at Sporting CP, Moutinho has always had a soft spot for the Dragons and everything suggests he will become the club’s marquee signing of the summer.

The 29-year-old left FC Porto to join Monaco in the summer of 2013, and three years later he is heading back to Estadio do Dragao, to the delight of club officials and fans alike.
