Joe Hart is set to join Tottenham Hotspur as a free agent, according to numerous sources.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper stood between the posts for England 75 times, and 346 for Manchester City, helping them win two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cup trophies. He left the Etihad upon Pep Guardiola’s arrival in 2016 and went initially on loan to Torino. He also had a temporary spell with West Ham, before being sold to Burnley for no more than £3.5 million in 2018.
His two-year contract with the Clarets expired and his departure was confirmed back in June. He had reportedly held talks to join Scottish champions Celtic soon afterwards, but no move materialized, and now he is undergoing a medical ahead of a proposed deal with Spurs.
If all goes to plan, Hart will become the second signing the north London club have made this summer, following the arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.
