Inter Milan seem ready to challenge arch rivals AC Milan for the signature of Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, reports Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri are desperately short of options up front and with Rodrigo Palacio misfiring at the moment, they believe the Costa Rican could be an answer to their attacking problems.
But, with Arsenal unlikely to sell the player outright, Inter hope to sign him on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Meanwhile, AC Milan were the first high-profile side to show interest in Campbell and it remains to be seen whether they will be making a move as well.
The 22-year-old has struggled for playing time since returning to the Emirates and is reportedly keen to leave in January.
His suitors Inter Milan are going through a very rough patch at the moment and they are 9/5 to defeat bitter rivals AC Milan in the next Serie A fixture.
