Joel Campbell on Milan radar

Italian giants AC Milan are being linked with a summer swoop for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.

The Rossoneri are actively searching for attacking reinforcements and they seem to have turned their attention towards the Costa Rica star as Shakhtar’s Douglas Costa proved too expensive for them.

Milan officials believe they can purchase the Arsenal starlet for some €11 million, although we’ll have to see what Arsene Wenger has to say about this.

Despite impressing on loan at Olympiakos as well as at the 2014 World Cup, Campbell would probably struggle for playing time at the Emirates, and there is a good chance the Gunners will consider any serious offer.

The 22-year-old has been one of star performers at the World Cup finals in Brazil, scoring one goal and producing several assists to help los Ticos reach the quarter-finals for the first time in history.
