Joel Campbell set for Premier League return

Portuguese media outlet O Jogo understands that Arsenal forward Joel Campbell could soon be returning to English Premier League.

The Costa Rica international will soon finish a fifth loan stint since joining the Gunners, but the latest reports suggest that Sporting CP have decided against signing him on permanent basis.

And with a return to the Emirates unlikely, Campbell is currently on the lookout for a new club.

According to reports, newly-promoted Brighton are interested in recruiting the 24-year-old footballer, but it remains to be seen whether they can agree a transfer fee with Arsenal.

After showing a great deal of potential during the loan spell with Olympiakos and a successful 2014 World Cup with Costa Rica, Campbell has struggled for form and playing time since.

He went on to score 3 goals in 18 league appearances for CP, but last started a league fixture back in January.
