Controversial midfielder Joey Barton has all but agreed to join Scottish giants Glashow Rangers, according to The Telegraph.
The 33-year-old will be out of contract in June and he was offered a one-year extension at Turf Moor after helping Burnley gain promotion to the Premier League.
However, he decided to reject the proposal and instead accepted a two-year contract from Glasgow Rangers.
The deal is yet to be made official, but a verbal agreement has been made after Barton spoke to Rangers manager Mark Warburton last week.
The Ibrox Stadium outfit finally secured a return to the Scottish Premier League after a four-year absence as they won the Scottish Championship trophy with 11 points to spare.
Rangers were also on the verge of lifting the Scottish FA Cup, but eventually lost the trophy to Hibernian by conceding two very late goals in the Hampden Park final.
