John Terry linked with Aston Villa return

Chelsea legend John Terry looks set to make a shock return to Aston Villa in response to manager Steve Bruce’s SOS signal.

The 37-year-old defender left Aston Villa at the end of the last season which saw Villans lose the Championship play-off final and subsequently get engulfed in financial dire straits. Having been brought to the brink of administration, Aston Villa got saved by new owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.

John Terry was expected to sign a year-long extension with Aston Villa if he got them back to the Premier League but the new wealthy owners are now prepared to present him with a new offer to bring him back to Villa Park.

Terry had multiple offers from China and MLS during the summer transfer window, while he’s also been exploring opportunities to move into the TV pundits’ arena.

Sources from England claim that Aston Villa deal for John Terry is more than just an idea and that several steps have already been made in relation to his return.
