(GSM) – Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson insists he has no plans to sell the reportedly-unsettled Glen Johnson.

Reports had linked the England full-back with a move away from Anfield with Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus cited as likely destinations.

But despite criticizing Johnson’s below-par performances at the start of the season, Hodgson has made it clear that he has no intention to sell the former Portsmouth defender.

“Agents and newspapers. You don’t have to look very far these days,” said Hodgson of the speculation.

“As far as I am concerned Glen Johnson will be a Liverpool player certainly until the end of his contract and possibly beyond it.

“We are very happy with him, he is a top-class player, an England international, so why should we want to lose him? Maybe his agent has other ideas.”
