German champions VfL Wolfsburg have secured the services of Fabian Johnson, who makes the move from TSV 1860 Munich.

The 21-year-old joined 1860’s senior team in 2006 and made 90 appearances since.

“We are very pleased about the signing of Fabian Johnson,” said Wolfsburg manager Armin Veh. “He is a huge talent and has not reached the end of his development by a long way. I am convinced that he will take the next big step forward with us.”

Johnson, who signed a deal for three years, formed part of the German Under-21 squad that recently won the European Championships.
