Portsmouth defender Glen Johnson has penned a new deal with with English side, committing himself until 2013.
The 24-year-old joined Pompey from Chelsea in the 2006-07 season. While the player arrived on loan, Portsmouth soon moved to make the deal permanent.
Manager Tony Adams showed to be content with the new deal: “I am delighted to have him here. I want him here for a long time.
“Glen has applied himself very well – he has been very good for this club and this club has been very good for him,” Adams said.
This season, Johnson has made 14 league appearances and scored twice.
