(GSM) – Ajax boss Martin Jol is close to making a return to management in the Premier League as reports link him to the vacant Fulham post. The 54-year-old Dutch is reportedly the front-runner for the Cottagers’ empty hot-seat.
The Fulham board have been discussing possible candidate for the job following the departure of Roy Hodgson to Liverpool. The current Liverpool manager had taken the West London outfit to the Europa League final in what was hailed as a remarkable achievement by the English manager.
Jol, currently coaching Ajax, had spent almost three years at Spurs earlier in his career before moving to Germany where he coached Hamburger SV. Last season, his side finished as runners-up in the Eredivisie.
