Jol to coach Fulham – report

Former Tottenham boss Martin Jol is set to return to the Premier League as manager of Fulham, The Sun reported here on Monday.

According to the British tabloid, Jol will be unveiled as Roy Hodgson’s successor on Tuesday after Fulham agreed a compensation package with the Dutchman’s present club, Ajax.

The paper says Jol has agreed a salary of of two million pounds a year with Fulham owner Mohamed Fayed.

Jol will find some familiar faces at the west London side with Danny Murphy, Simon Davies and Stephen Kelly all having played under him at Tottenham.

Davies told the paper: “Martin is a very, very good coach, one of the best I have worked with.”

The Fulham vacancy arose when Hodgson, who guided the club to the Europa League final last season, was head-hunted by Liverpool to fill the void left by Rafael Benitez.
