German magazine Kicker is reporting that FC Koln defender Jonas Hector is likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has so far resisted temptation to leave the Billy Goats in spite of heavy interest from top European clubs, but that looks set to change.
Namely, with FC Koln expected to be relegated at the end of the season, Hector will probably leave the club, with an €8 million clause set to be triggered in case of the drop.
According to reports, Borussia Dortmund are expected to make a move on the Germany international as they plan to offload Marcel Schmelzer in the near future.
Despite playing for Bundesliga strugglers, Jonas Hector has been a first team regular in the national team ever since Joachim Low took over the reigns and has so far amassed 35 caps.
