Villarreal midfielder Jonathan Dos Santos is edging closer to an MLS move with LA Galaxy keen to unite him with brother Giovani, the Spanish media outlet Marca has reported.
Los Angeles Galaxy are understood to have already approached the La Liga side looking to make Dos Santos their third designated player.
The MLS powerhouse have been following Jonathan Dos Santos for quite a while now but Villarreal were initially reluctant to sell their player. The arrival of Pablo Fornals, however, will open doors for possible departure as Villarreal management appear to have changed their stance on the Mexico international.
The 27-year-old is the subject of a €6 million offer from LA Galaxy and it is understood that the two clubs have already reached an agreement in principle.
Dos Santos has only returned to training after an extended break following the Confederations Cup, but the Spanish club approved an extra few days so that the Mexican midfielder could negotiate a deal with the Galaxy.
