According to Sports.es, Barcelona defender Jordi Alba has committed himself to the club in the wake of rumours linking him to Tottenham Hotspur. The 29-year-old, speaking in Russia after a Spain training session, spoke about his future and how he wants to stay at the Nou Camp. The former Valencia star has spent the last six years of his career with Barcelona, and as he prepares to move into the prime of his career, he doesn’t seem to be interested in moving away any time soon.
Alba’s pace and overall stamina put him above many of his peers around European football in terms of his endurance, as he’s able to track back and also move forward in equal measure. He recently renewed his deal to take him through to 2020, and with his release clause fee being priced at €150 million, it seems unlikely that he’ll be going anywhere else this summer.
