Jorginho will remain at Chelsea for at least four more years, according to his agent.
The Brazil-born Italy international arrived at Stamford Bridge shortly after the appointment of Maurizio Sarri last year, as the former Napoli boss sought to take his trusted midfielder with him. It was therefore believed that he would be leaving the London Blues in the same manner – by following Sarri to the exit door as well.
However, that wasn’t the case during this summer’s transfer window and Joao Santos, who represents the player, claims it won’t happen for a long time yet. Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss (as relayed by Sky Sports), the agent said that they have a mid-to-long term project with Chelsea, and as his client is under contract for the next five years, he believes Jorginho won’t be leaving the club for at least four more seasons.
The defensive midfielder played 54 games in a blue shirt last season and scored twice.
