Jose Enrique heading for Anfield exit door

Jose Enrique looks set to be on his way out of Liverpool, according to the Mirror.

The Spaniard has barely featured for the Merseyside outfit over the past few seasons, and hasn’t played at all this campaign.

He is out of contract in the summer, but could pen a pre-contract agreement when the transfer window opens over the weekend.

The twenty-nine-year-old moved to Anfield from Newcastle United in the summer of 2011 and has racked up just shy of one hundred appearances for the club in all competitions with both of his two goals coming in the Reds’ 2012/13 league campaign.

Internationally, he has represented Spain at U16, U20 and U21 levels but has not yet received a senior call-up.

Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Sunderland 1-0 on Wednesday evening to move to within five points of the top four, and they can now be backed at 6/4 to finish the season in the Champions League qualification places.
