Superdeporte claims that Valencia defender Jose Luis Gaya is unlikely to leave Mestalla this summer.

The 22-year-old had emerged as a top target for Italian champions Juventus as they look to replace Alex Sandro, but it appears that he won’t be moving to Turin after all.

According to reports, Jose Luis Gaya is happy to remain at Valencia for the time being and he will soon sign a new deal at Mestalla.

Nevertheless, there will be some good news for his suitors as well considering that Gaya’s release clause will reportedly drop to €30 million.

Jose Luis Gaya has been one of the club’s star performers for several years now, making a total of 143 competitive outings, producing 4 goals and 17 assists in the process.
