Jose Mourinho eyeing Marko Arnautomic

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is said to have identified West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic as a January transfer target.

The Portuguese tactician is looking to strengthen his ranks upfront and boost his attacking options in order to get Red Devils closer to securing the top-four finish in the Premier League.

Manchester United’s goalless draw against Crystal Palace has come as yet another confirmation of the club’s struggles for consistency and lack of a cutting edge upfront.

Both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez have struggled for form this season and a move for Marko Arnautovic could be on the table, according to the British press.

The 29-year-old Austria international has struggled to find footing in London at first but has gone from strength to strength, starring under Manuel Pellegrini and displaying a fine set of performances for his club.

Arnautovic’s mentality is said to be of particular interest for Mourinho, who believes such a strong presence both on the pitch and in the dressing room would be enough to revitalize a sluggish United front line.
