AC Milan midfielder Jose Sosa is set to return to Turkish Super Lig, Sky Sport Italia has suggested.
Having been deemed surplus to requirements at San Siro, the Argentine was widely expected to leave in the summer transfer window, but a move never materialised despite the strong interest from Trabzonspor.
Nevertheless, the lengthy negotiations between the two clubs appear to have finally produced results, as the Rossoneri have reportedly accepted a €6 million proposal from Trabzonspor.
Meanwhile, the midfielder has agreed a contract worth €5 million per campaign, meaning that the transfer should be wrapped up well ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Jose Sosa had previously impressed playing for Besiktas, bagging 12 goals in 58 Super Lig appearances, while also enjoying spells with Estudiantes, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Metalist and Atletico Madrid.
