Journalist Daniel Austin put in a lot of time and effort uncover the truth about what happened before, during and after the Champions League final in Saint-Denis on May 28th. French interior minister Gerald Darmanin and sports minister Amelie Oudea-Castera were quick to point the finger at the people who had come to support Liverpool, in a way that uncannily resembled the lies spread by a certain newspaper about the Hillsborough disaster back in 1989.
Now, however, the truth has been officially uncovered and those who tried to divert blame to what they saw as a faceless foreign mass, cannot hide behind their lies anymore.
“The French government tried to blame a mass of foreign people for their own failings.
“Gérald Darmanin and Amélie Oudéa-Castéra thought they could get away with blaming people who would simply go away. Their lies have now been shown in a formal way.” pic.twitter.com/ev4uIZ81sb
