(GSM) – Milan Jovanovic claims he will move to Liverpool in the summer having agreed terms with Liverpool. The 28-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the season when his contract at Standard Liege runs out.
Liverpool and Valencia have been linked with a move for the striker. However, it seems that the Reds have come out on top in the race to sign the Serbian.
Jovanovic will complete his Anfield switch provided he passes the medical.
“We have reached an agreement for three years, with the option to extend for another season,” Jovanovic told Belgian newspaper Sporza.
“I have yet to undergo a medical exam, but that shouldn’t be a problem.
“I don’t have any physical problems and I’m feeling perfectly fit.
Jovanovic revealed his delight after choosing Liverpool.
“I opted to sign for Liverpool because they’re one of the biggest teams around in Europe. They’re definitely among the 10 biggest sides.
“I’m absolutely delighted that the deal is completed. From now on, I can focus on Standard Liege again. I want to leave the club in a good way.”
