(GSM) – The agent of Milan Jovanovic has denied that his client is on the verge of signing a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool.
Earlier in the week it was reported that the Standard Liège forward was close to a deal with the Reds and was expected to form part of Rafael Benitez’s squad in 2010/11.
However, it has now emerged that such a deal has not been put in place. It’s quite clear that Jovanovic will leave Standard after this season but the Serbian striker is yet to decide on his future.
“There are many possibilities,” Jovanovic’s agent Zoran Stojadinovic told Superdeporte.
“The situation will be resolved soon, but he has not signed for any club as yet.”
There are rumours about a possible move to Valencia with Stojadinovic admitting that discussions with the La Liga side are ‘very advanced’.
However, there are plenty of other clubs still in the frame and nothing has been ruled out as yet.
“There is plenty of interest from Spain,” added Stojadinovic.
“But there are also a number of clubs from across Europe that remain keen.”
