(GSM) – Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic has ruled out a move to Barcelona at this point in his career.
The 20-year-old Montenegro international is widely regarded as one of the biggest talents in Europe and has been linked with the continent’s biggest clubs.
Interviewed in this morning’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, Jovetic said: “I heard and read about the Barcelona rumours, but my agent and I told each other to stay calm. And to stay in Florence.
“Barca are the biggest club in the world, but they have a team that is already complete to which they have added David Villa.
“It would be difficult to play when I want to play. And I can do that here so I can improve even more.
“I’m absolutely pumped to be a regular in Serie A. I feel good and this confidence around me makes me feel good: I know that I must do everything better and this expectation fires me also because if something someone expects something of me it means something good and I can give it.
“Now I am not thinking about leaving Fiorentina and if it were to happen it would be for an even bigger team. Becoming great here now is my priority.”
