Luka Jović, currently at Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Benfica, has been linked with several top clubs recently as his fantastic form continues to attract attention. Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have been mentioned as potentially interested, Real Madrid indicated that they might join the race, but the majority of reports have been linking the striker with a move to Camp Nou with Barcelona seeing him as a potential long-term successor to Luis Suarez.
However, it seems the Serbian international, who struck 17 times for Eintracht in 26 Bundesliga appearances and seven times in 10 Europa League games, is ready to snub all interest and remain in Frankfurt. He is due to return to Lisbon as the loan spell expires and his contract with Benfica runs for further two years, but the Bundesliga side have an option to buy which they are extremely likely to activate.
Jović’s father spoke to Bild and revealed the 21-year-old’s concerns over playing time at Barcelona or any other reported suitor, and said that his son would prefer to qualify for the Champions League with Eintracht and stay there past the summer.
